Meet Tabitha
“Tabitha Lewis is running for LaGrange City Council, District 2, because she believes local government works best when it listens first.”
8 years in state government · 14 years with youth & families · LaGrange High School & LaGrange College Graduate
Raised and educated in LaGrange, this community has shaped every part of who I am. As a graduate of LaGrange High School and LaGrange College, and now a master's-level public policy professional pursuing my Ph.D., I understand how government works and how it impacts everyday people. With more than eight years in state government and fourteen years working directly with youth and families, my roots here run deep. I've watched this city grow, and I've watched which neighborhoods that growth reaches first.
My work across Troup County taught me that neighborhoods hold together because they're connected, not just because they're growing. I care about families and about the young people who don't always get asked what they need. Leadership, to me, means showing up consistently, not just campaigning well.
LaGrange is home. It's where I learned what community really means, and it's where I'm committed to giving my best every day. My hope is simple: a city whose systems actually work for the people living under them.
I'm running for City Council because LaGrange shaped me, and I'm committed to shaping a stronger, safer, more connected LaGrange for all of us.
